England-born winger of Ghanaian descent, Ryan McAidoo climbed off the bench to score for Manchester City on Thursday as they hammered Norwich City 5-0 in the EFL Cup.The talented attacker missed out on a starting role in the Third Round tie but was introduced into the game at halftime to replace Ryan Cherki.On the matchday, Manchester City took the lead in the 29th minute when Floyd Samba rose to meet a cross inside the penalty area and produced a powerful header into the bottom corner.Rayan Cherki doubled the advantage three minutes later after completing an impressive individual move with a low strike from inside the box, leaving Norwich goalkeeper Daniel Grimshaw with no chance.Manchester City continued to dominate after the interval and extended their lead in the 48th minute through Allan Elias.The attacker produced another fine individual effort before placing his shot accurately into the bottom right corner to make it 3-0.Samba added his second goal in the 54th minute after receiving a pass on the edge of the penalty area and firing into the bottom right corner.Norwich thought they had pulled one back in the 74th minute when Mohamed Toure found the net, but the goal was ruled out for offside.McAidoo then completed the scoring in the 90th minute. The talented teenager, who is eligible to represent Ghana, received a pass inside the penalty area before firing a precise finish into the left side of the goal as he put the icing on the cake for the Premier League side.The big win has propelled Manchester City into the next Round of the EFL Cup, keeping their hope of winning the trophy alive.
