FIFA referee Selorm Yao Bless has been appointed to officiate the 2025-26 MTN FA Cup final between Dreams FC and Nations FC.
The Ghana Football Association confirmed the appointment ahead of the showpiece match scheduled for Sunday, May 31, 2026, at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium in Accra.
Kick-off is set for 6:00pm as the two clubs battle for the season’s final piece of domestic silverware and a place in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup.
Bless will be assisted by Richard Nartey and Ernest Akatey, who have been named Assistant Referees One and Two, respectively. Charles Bulu will serve as the Fourth Official, while Michael Ayeh has been appointed Match Commissioner.
The experienced official will be tasked with overseeing what is expected to be a keenly contested final between two sides with different motivations heading into the game.
Dreams FC are chasing a second MTN FA Cup title after lifting the trophy in the 2022-23 season. The Still Believe lads will also be hoping to secure a return to continental football after their memorable run to the semi-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup in the 2023-24 campaign.
For Nations FC, the final represents a historic opportunity to win the first major trophy in the club’s history. The Abrankese-based side will be looking to end the season on a positive note after suffering relegation from the Ghana Premier League despite reaching the FA Cup final for the first time.
With a place in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup at stake, Sunday’s encounter promises to be one of the biggest matches on the domestic football calendar, with Selorm Yao Bless and his officiating team entrusted to handle the high-stakes showdown.
