Jess Fishlock adds to her lore
The Seattle Reign’s Jess Fishlock dramatically scored the game-winning goal moments after subbing in to propel the Reign to a 3-2 win over Bay FC. It was her first goal since the opening weekend of the 2026 season. The goal is Fishlock’s 50th tally in the National Women’s Soccer League, and she became just the 10th player to reach that milestone. The 39-year-old has laced up her boots in every single NWSL season since the league’s inception in 2013. This season marks the curtain call on her playing career. Fishlock sustained a serious lower leg injury in late April, prompting fans to fear for the worst. However, the Welsh international continues to defy the odds and add new twists to her remarkable career.
