Simba SC pulled off a thrilling comeback to advance to the CAF Confederation Cup semi-finals, overcoming Egypts Al Masry in a dramatic penalty shootout.After losing 2-0 in the first leg in Suez, Simba responded with a 2-0 win in regulation time at home, leveling the tie on aggregate.Steven Mukwala, the former Asante Kotoko star, was crucial in the turnaround, scoring a powerful header in the 32nd minute to double Simba’s lead.Elie Mpanzu had opened the scoring in the 22nd minute with a well-taken solo effort.The game saw a few controversial moments, including a penalty for Simba overturned after a VAR review, and several key saves from Al Masry’s goalkeeper Mahmoud Gad.However, it was in the shootout where Simba truly excelled.
