Former Tottenham midfielder Yves Bissouma is reportedly close to joining Ajax on a deal running until the end of the season.
The 30-year-old has been without a club since being released by Spurs in June but is now set to return to football in the Netherlands, according to Telegraaf.
Bissouma is said to have agreed an initial contract until the end of the campaign, with an optional 12-month extension.
Bissouma joined Tottenham from Brighton & Hove Albion for £25 million in 2022 and made 111 appearances for the London club.
However, his time at Spurs was affected by disciplinary issues and inconsistent involvement under several managers.
In August 2025, then-head coach Thomas Frank left him out of the squad for the UEFA Super Cup against Paris Saint-Germain because of persistent lateness.
Bissouma made only 11 appearances during his final season with Tottenham, all of them coming in the Premier League.
Ajax offer fresh opportunity
Bissouma will now look to rebuild his career with Ajax and provide experience in midfield for the Eredivisie side.
His final season at Tottenham ended with the club finishing 17th in the Premier League for the second consecutive campaign.
The move to Ajax gives Bissouma the chance to secure regular football and revive his career in a new league.
The proposed 12-month extension option could allow him to remain in Amsterdam beyond the current season if the move proves successful.
