Nami has been influential on social media, sharing her own tips and tricks for soccer development, both in group settings and individually. Growing up, Nami explained that “she loved learning how to work as a team, meeting new players, traveling to different places, and being competitive.”. She is candid about her training experiences and encourages youth players to take their development into their own hands and be creative, such as using a wall for passing practice and setting personal goals to push themselves in areas they need to work on.
Most recently, Nami and her team became Surf Cup Champions, and Nami showed a keen eye for the goal. She was drawn to her position as forward, wing, or even center midfield “because it reflects how much [she] loves running, scoring, and passing.”. She loves the positional aspect of the game and getting to have the pressure and responsibility that allows her to push herself and become a game changer.
Outside of sports, Nami is huge on spending time with both family and friends, traveling, and being able to express her creative side with drawing, writing, and reading. Nami explained that “no matter what, soccer always finds its way into [her] life somehow.”
