Ghanaian match officials Daniel Nii Laryea and Roland Nii Addy Dodoo have been appointed by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for the upcoming 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN), set to take place in Kenya, Rwanda, and Tanzania from August 2 to 30.

Roland Addy has been selected as one of 26 assistant referees for the tournament. He recently took part in a final preparatory training camp in Cairo and has gained a solid reputation for his accuracy and composure in high-pressure matches across domestic and continental competitions.

Daniel Laryea, a household name in African refereeing, will serve as one of the 18 Video Match Officials (VMOs) for the tournament. Laryea’s consistent performances over the years, both locally and internationally, have made him one of the most respected referees on the continent.

Their selection is seen as another positive step for Ghanaian officiating, as the CHAN tournament serves as an important platform for both emerging players and officials to demonstrate their capabilities on a major stage.
