The NCAA Division I women’s soccer season kicked off earlier this month, and teams across the country are looking to make a run this season. Collegiate women’s soccer is also getting the recognition it deserves as ESPN is streaming more than 1,750 women’s soccer matches, including 10 Top-10 match ups.
Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC)
Boston College currently sits atop of the ACC in the conference standings. After missing the NCAA Division I Women’s Soccer Championship tournament in 2025, the Eagles are undefeated so far this season. However, in the national rankings, Stanford University is ranked higher than Boston College. The United Soccer Coaches poll placed the Cardinal at No. 1 in the nation with five wins so far this season.
Southeastern Conference (SEC)
The United Soccer Coaches had Vanderbilt University as the highest-ranked SEC team in their most recent poll. Vanderbilt has a highly regarded women’s soccer program and reached the NCAA Division I Women’s Soccer Championship quarterfinals last season. In conference standings, the University of Alabama sits at the top with six wins and an undefeated record.
Big 12
West Virginia University (WVU) and the University of Central Florida (UCF) are tied for the best record in the Big 12. Both teams are undefeated with four wins so far this season. In the United Soccer Coaches poll, West Virginia was given the slight edge after making the second round of the 2025 NCAA Division I Women’s Soccer Championship. WVU sits at No. 7, while UCF is ranked at No. 13 in the nation.
Big 10
Purdue University currently leads the Big 10. The Boilermakers have the best record in the conference with five wins and a draw. However, the United Soccer Coaches poll deemed Michigan State University a better team. The Spartans are ranked No. 4 in the country with four wins. This season, Michigan State is looking to build on their deep run to the NCAA Division I Women’s Soccer Championship quarterfinals.
