Berekum Chelseas talisman, Stephen Amankona has disclosed that he is working hard for the chance to play for the Black Stars.The Ghanaian attacker is currently one of the top forwards in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.He has consistently performed well for Berekum Chelsea in the last two seasons, earning him praise from many who follow the local game.Speaking to Akoma FM in an interview on Friday, Stephen Amankona noted that he is not perturbed by the lack of opportunities in the Black Stars.The 25-year-old stated that he is focused and wants to work harder to ensure he makes the best out of his national team opportunity when he is finally invited to the Black Stars.I believe my time with the Black Stars has not yet come. Therefore, I am working hard to be ready when it comes, Stephen Amankona said.The forward has scored 10 goals in the Ghana Premier League this season after making 19 appearances for Berekum Chelsea.Last season, he scored 19 goals after featuring in 29 games for the Blues.
