Medeama coach Ibrahim Tanko has called on the club’s supporters to remain fully behind the team as the Ghana Premier League enters a decisive phase, stressing that their backing has been key to the club’s journey so far.
With 12 matches left in a very demanding league, Tanko believes Medeama will need strong support to protect their place at the top and push through the difficult weeks ahead. He acknowledged the role fans have played since the start of the season and hopes that unity will continue until the final day.
Medeama travel to Samreboi on Sunday, February 22, to face Samartex in their Week 23 fixture. The Mauve and Yellow go into the match with three wins from their last five games, a run of form they are eager to build on as the title race tightens.
“I mean like any other day we always said we are doing it together. They supported us from the beginning. We are going to an end. We have 12 games,” he told Medi TV
“We hope that those who can come will come in their numbers and those who are at home can pray for us and then we will go and do our best.”
Samartex come into the game with two wins in their last five matches and will be chasing a place in the top four. The match kicks off at 3:00 pm.
