Ireland Women complete quick double against Greece

Ireland were 2-1 winners over Greece at Tallaght Stadium following on from Friday’s 4-0 away win in the UEFA Women’s Nations League.

Leanne Kiernan won an early penalty, which Amber Barrett converted in front of 5,879 spectators.

Anna Patten headed the hosts two up just five minutes after the interval, as Ireland went on to record their third victory in the group.

Although Greece did pull one back in the last 20 minutes, when Veatriki Sarri struck from distance.
