Jonah Kusi-Asare set for loan move as Bayern Munich looks to fast-track development
Jonah Kusi-Asare is set to follow a familiar path at Bayern Munich as the club looks to secure him a loan deal for next season. The 17-year-old Swedish-Ghanaian striker, who joined Bayern from AIK in January for 4.5 million, could be sent out to gain more minutes and experience.Kusi-Asare made just three top-flight appearances for AIK before moving to Germany. He debuted in the Bundesliga recently with a brief outing against Mainz. Originally signed for Bayerns U-19s, the forward has since earned promotion to the Bayern Munich II side.German outlet Sport1 reports that the club is already in talks over a loan spell for the young striker. Bayern are reportedly eager to avoid repeating past mistakes with talents like Mathys Tel and Joshua Zirkzee, who struggled for game time behind more experienced players. With plans to bring in a seasoned striker to support Harry Kane, as Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting once did, Bayern believe Kusi-Asares development is best served elsewhere for now.
