Asante Kotoko are set to take steps to improve their training infrastructure, with the club planning to wall their Adako Jachie training facility to prevent unauthorised access and monitoring by opponents.The plans form part of several measures discussed during the club’s engagement with selected media practitioners as the Porcupine Warriors marked their 91st anniversary.Kotoko are also planning the construction of two new pitches at Adako Jachie as part of efforts to improve the club’s training facilities.The club also intends to strengthen its youth team as it seeks to improve its player development structure.Another major plan is to provide apartment accommodation for players, particularly senior players, at the club’s training base.Kotoko are also planning to acquire the women’s team owned by former board member Evelyn Nsiah Asare and hand it over to her to manage under the club.The plans come as Kotoko seek to build a stronger structure around the club after changes to their board and technical team.The Porcupine Warriors currently use Adako Jachie as their training base but do not own a stadium, with the club continuing to use the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi for home matches.
