Kurt Okraku raises concern over Black Stars injury woes ahead of 2026 World Cup – Ghana Latest Football News, Live Scores, Results

President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku, has expressed worry over the growing injury situation within the Black Stars as preparations continue for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

In an interview with GFA Media, he implored Ghanaians to remember injured players in their prayers, noting that he is confident the players will make a full recovery before the start of the tournament.

“I’m concerned about the number of players in the medical room, but I’m very positive. I believe everything is possible. Our job is to work and pray and leave the rest to the almighty God.”

With less than four months to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Ghana faces various injury headaches with several key players currently out of action.

Among them are Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mohammed Kudus, Toulouse midfielder Francis Abu and AS Monaco centre-back Mohammed Salisu.

Their absence has raised questions about squad depth and fitness as Ghana looks ahead to the global showpiece.

While Kudus and Abu are expected to recover in time for the tournament, it will take a miracle for Salisu to be fit in time for the World Cup.
