Leicester City forward Jutta Rantala has signed a new two-year contract with the club.
WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Foxes this afternoon.
The 25-year-old Finnish international was set to be out of contract at The King Power Stadium this summer but she has agreed to remain with the club until 2027.
Rantala joined Leicester City in summer 2023 after leaving Swedish OBOS Damallsvenskan club Vittsjö GIK. The forward has gone on to make 34 appearances for The Foxes in all competitions in which she has scored 11 goals.
The player made a huge impact in her first year at The King Power Stadium before being frustrated by injury last season. Rantala has returned to fitness and is keen to make a significant contribution to the team this season.
After signing on again with Leicester City, Rantala said “I am delighted to be staying with the Football Club. I’m looking forward to hitting the ground running and helping to build on what the team achieved last season.
“The support since I’ve been here has been fantastic and has helped the team on so many occasions. I am excited to be back at King Power Stadium and getting back out there in front of our supporters.”
Further Leicester City squad news will be revealed in due course.
