Liam Rosenior needs to go but the onus is on those above him

Even the sporting directors are just doing what they have been told to do from above. But no, of course I don’t rate them. But at the end of the day, they’re just following orders and instructions from above. Ultimately, it is the owners who make the decisions at this football club, mostly Behdad Eghbali.

Liam Rosenior is a massive problem. He’s awful. Well out of his depth. But it’s not his fault. He probably needed to be sat down when he got told in January that he was about to become the manager of Chelsea Football Club, otherwise he would have fallen down. Imagine that? Wouldn’t be much different to you or I being offered the Chelsea manager role! That is how out of depth and how inexperienced he was/is. Chelsea is not Strasbourg and the Premier League is not Ligue 1. Every average Joe could have told you that!

He should never have been hired. But that’s not on him, that’s on those above him, the ones who thought it would be a bright idea to hire yet another inexperienced manager. Another yes man with no fire in his belly. No leadership. No nothing.

Don’t get me wrong, I like Liam as a person, I think he’d probably be a decent chap to hang out with, not that I would necessarily chose to. But he seems like a decent human being, so I do feel sorry for him, I do have empathy. But he needs to go straight for that Stamford Bridge exit door TODAY and do us all a favour, including himself. But it was never his fault, it was the fault of BlueCo, as everything is right now at this football club. They call the shots, they make the decisions. The onus is on them.

And since they aren’t going anywhere despite 95% of the Chelsea fan base now wanting them out, they better sure as hell get it right this summer and make some big changes to everything, starting with a competent and experienced manager. Although, which manager of that calibre is coming to this s**t show right now? It would be career suicide for them. I think any half decent manager will run a mile. Worrying.

But if BlueCo want to try and attempt to save any hope they’ve got left at OUR club, then they need to make yet another manager change as soon as possible, then tackle the shambles of a squad they have built. OK, not a complete shambles, there are some good players there and some decent foundations. We have some good players for sure. But it still lacks a spine, experience, leaders, physicality, height, and quality. Not much then eh? Do all that, change the project and not just tweak it, and we might be OK. Don’t do that, then continue to be doomed here.
