London City Lionesses make history by announcing Arsenal sell-out

London City Lionesses have created another piece of history after announcing the news that this weekend’s Barclays Women’s Super League fixture against Arsenal has sold out.

The Pride play host to The Gunners at The Copperjax Community Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

WSL Full-Time were informed by London City Lionesses that the game has sold out earlier today. It is the first time that The Pride have sold out a home fixture in the Barclays Women’s Super League and the first time that they have filled their 6,100-capacity home at The Copperjax Community Stadium in Bromley.

Commenting after the final tickets were snapped up, London City Lionesses attacker Nikita Parris said “It’s a massive achievement for the club to sell out
at Bromley for the first time in its history. The fans are so important to us as players and really help galvanise us as a team. They’re our twelfth player and we really need that energy for the Arsenal game and going forward.

“We want to give everything for London City to push this team forward. We’re going in the right direction. I’ve only been here since the summer but the project has already grown so much.

“We want to see the fans loud and proud. We need their help and support, first stop is Arsenal and the second stop is Chelsea.”

London City Lionesses’ Barclays Women’s Super League fixture against Arsenal kicks-off at 11.55am on Sunday.
