Manchester United’s interest in West Ham winger Crysencio Summerville has been stalled by uncertainty around Marcus Rashford’s future.
Rashford has returned to Manchester United after a season-long loan spell at Barcelona, who opted against a permanent deal.
However, the 28-year-old has not given up hope of rejoining the Spanish champions, despite Anthony Gordon’s arrival at the Camp Nou.
Rashford’s focus on Barcelona, and a lack of other credible suitors, has left his future in the balance. Manchester United remain keen to offload the England international, though there is a lack of interested and financially capable clubs.
Michael Carrick has targeted Summerville, following West Ham’s relegation. According to The Guardian, West Ham will consider offers in excess of £30m for the Dutchman, who also had admirers at AS Roma, Spurs, and Fulham.
Any deal is dependent on United finding a suitor for Rashford, whose high wages are proving problematic.
