Manchester City have been dealt a blow after Rodri was forced off injured at Brentford.
Rodri was substituted just 22 minutes into the Premier League clash at the Gtech Community Stadium, with what appeared a muscular issue.
The Spaniard looked visibly frustrated and concerned by the issue, which will be a worrying sight for Pep Guardiola.
Rodri missed the bulk of the 2024/25 campaign after sustaining an ACL injury in September 2024, returning briefly at the conclusion of the campaign.
Having been carefully managed during this summer’s FIFA Club World Cup and pre-season, he has started five times in all competitions this season.
However, the Ballon d’Or winner now looks set for another spell on the sidelines after being withdrawn in West London.
