Pep Guardiola could be set to raid his former club once again, with reports suggesting Manchester City are preparing a move for Barcelona sensation Fermin Lopez in the January transfer window.
According to Juvelive.it, the Spanish champions see the 22-year-old as the perfect long-term successor to Bernardo Silva, whose future at the Etihad remains uncertain.
Lopez’s Rapid Rise at Barcelona
Lopez has been part of Barcelona’s setup since 2016, working his way through the academy before breaking into the first team in 2023. Despite fierce competition for the No.10 role, he made 46 appearances last season, clocking up over 2,000 minutes of football. His return of eight goals and 10 assists underlined his ability to both create and finish chances — quickly making him a fan favourite at Camp Nou.
