Manchester City have completed the signing of German international full-back Carlotta Wamser on a four-year deal.
WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Cityzens this morning.
The 22-year-old joins Manchester City from German Google Pixel Frauen-Bundesliga club Bayer 04 Leverkusen.
Wamser has spent her entire career to date playing in her native Germany. She started out with SGS Essen before going on to represent Eintracht Frankfurt, 1. FC Köln and Bayer 04 Leverkusen.
On the international stage, Wamser has been capped by Germany on 14 occasions while she has scored two goals for her country.
After joining Manchester City, Wamser said “It feels very, very good [to be joining Manchester City]. I had a perfect welcome here and I already feel very good here and I look forward to my time here in Manchester.
“The English league is the best league in the world and Manchester City is one of the best clubs in the world.
“I feel like I need the next step for my career and I feel that I can develop as a player here. I like the challenge as well, so I think it’s the perfect step for me right now to [move to] Manchester.”
Wamser is Manchester City’s third signing of the summer transfer window.
