In Serie A, Napoli’s hopes of catching runaway leaders Inter – who beat Cagliari on Friday – were dealt a hefty blow as they were beaten 2-0 by Lazio.
Matteo Cancellieri and Toma Basic scored without reply as Antonio Conte’s men move 12 points adrift of Inter with five matches remaining.
In the battle for a top-six finish, Roma and Atalanta played out a 1-1 stalemate. Nikola Krstovic gave Atalanta the lead before Mario Hermoso levelled just before the break.
Bundesliga
Second-placed Borussia Dortmund opened the door for Bayern Munich to move 15 points clear at the top of the Bundesliga after they were beaten 2-1 by Hoffenheim.
Andrej Kramaric gave Hoffenheim the advantage before Serhou Guirassy thought he’d rescued a point for the visitors when he found the net in the 87th minute.
But with 98 minutes on the clock, the hosts were awarded a penalty and up stepped Kramaric to seal all three points right at the death.

Bayern host Stuttgart on Sunday knowing a win would move Vincent Kompany’s men ever-closer to a second successive league title.
RB Leipzig beat Eintracht Frankfurt 3-1 to strengthen their claim on third place while, at the other end of the table, Wolfsburg picked up a vital three points in their fight to beat relegation with a 2-1 victory over Union Berlin.
Ligue 1
In Ligue 1, Marseille’s poor recent run of results continued as they were beaten for the third time in four matches after going down 2-0 against Lorient.
Panos Katseris and Bamba Dieng grabbed the goals.
Elsewhere, third-placed Lille were held to a goalless stalemate by Nice. The result leaves Lille eight points behind Lens, and nine points adrift of leaders PSG.
