This NWSL season, a handful of goalkeepers will be making their professional debuts. These players are hungry to make a name for themselves in the league and are coming from all over the country, joining new teams and gaining valuable exposure.
Molly Pritchard
A recent graduate of Ohio State, Molly Pritchard has signed with the North Carolina Courage. During her time at Ohio State, Pritchard earned accolades including Big Ten All-Freshman Team and Academic All–Big Ten honors. She ranks second in program history for career saves with 306. Pritchard signed a two-year contract with the Courage through the 2027 NWSL season.
Teagan Wy
Teagan Wy comes from UC Berkeley and has signed her first professional contract with Gotham FC. Wy has experience training with San Diego Wave FC but has made her final commitment to the NWSL with Gotham. She has been training at an international level since 2018 and was recently invited by Emma Hayes to train with the U.S. senior national team.
Evan O’Steen
Evan O’Steen is a 17-year-old goalkeeper who recently became the youngest goalkeeper to sign in NWSL history and will be joining Seattle Reign FC. O’Steen was part of Florida State’s NCAA Championship-winning team and will now take her talents to the professional level. She has played for the U.S. Youth National Team throughout her development and won the Golden Glove at the 2024 U-17 World Cup.
Jordan Nytes
Jordan Nytes is coming from the University of Colorado Boulder and will be joining Denver Summit FC, continuing her career in Colorado. Most recently, Nytes was a semifinalist for the Hermann Trophy and earned Big 12 Goalkeeper of the Year honors. She also holds the University of Colorado single-season shutout record. Nytes has been called up to U.S. Youth National Team training camps and has a promising professional future.
Faith Nguyen
Faith Nguyen has signed with Angel City FC. She graduated from Texas Tech in December, after previously playing at UCLA, where she won an NCAA Championship during the 2022 season and graduated in 2024. Last summer, Nguyen trained with Angel City and is excited to return to her home base in Southern California.
