Roma are confident of winning the race to sign West Ham winger Crysencio Summerville, according to reports in Italy.
The Italians have submitted an offer of around £39m to sign Summerville from relegated West Ham.
Roma are keen to sign Summerville as the Serie A side prepare to return to the Champions League next season. Gian Piero Gasperini has identified Summerville as a top target, with Roma eager to unite the Dutchman with compatriot Donyell Malen at the Stadio Olimpico.
Sky Italy are reporting that Summerville is open to the move and the chance to compete in the Champions League.
Several Premier League sides have monitored Summerville’s situation, including Manchester United, though the Red Devils’ pursuit is dependent on Marcus Rashford’s future. At present, Rashford remains at Old Trafford with no progress on a potential sale.
Fulham and Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked, while Aston Villa have been credited with interest as Morgan Rogers nears a transfer to Chelsea.
