âDutch-Ghanaian defender Solomon Bonnah delivered a fine attacking contribution but could not prevent Vitesse slipping to a 3â1 home defeat against Almere City FC at GelreDome.
Operating from right-back, Bonnah surged forward in the 41st minute and picked out Adam Tahaui with a measured pass, allowing the attacker to level the scores with a composed finish for 1â1 just before half-time. That assist briefly swung momentum Vitesse’s way after Julian Rijkhoff had earlier given Almere the lead.
After the interval, however, Vitesse’s defence struggled to contain Almere’s pace and movement in transition. Ferdy Druijf restored the visitors’ advantage on 63 minutes from a Boyd Reith cross, before adding a third in the 76th minute from another cut-back, this time supplied by Emanuel Poku, to seal a 3â1 away win.
Bonnah, who has now made 16 league appearances with one assist in the 2025/26 Eerste Divisie.
Vitesse will look to respond when they travel to face Roda JC Kerkrade on Monday, March 16, in their next league outing.
