Spurs keeper Heeps signs contract extension

Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Eleanor Heeps has signed a contract extension with the club.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Lilywhites this afternoon.

The 21-year-old Crewe-born stopper signed a three-year deal with Spurs 12 months’ ago and she has now extended the arrangement by a further year.

Heeps started her senior playing career on the books of Liverpool before joining Spurs in summer 2021. The youngster has spent time out on loan at Blackburn Rovers, Coventry United and Sheffield United in recent seasons in a bid to get some first team experience under her belt.

The keeper made her long-awaited Spurs debut in a Subway Women’s League Cup group stage fixture against Aston Villa earlier this season and she has gone on to add another five appearances to her tally. Heeps is now putting in solid claims for Spurs’ first-choice goalkeeping jersey.

On the international stage, Heeps has represented England up to and including Under-19 level and she will be keen to push for further honours in the coming years.

Heeps is highly-rated by Spurs and she will now be hoping to further establish herself in the first team after signing on for an additional year.
