Brazil‘s convincing 3-0 victory over Haiti saw Selecao temporarily move to the top of Group C on goal difference ahead of Morocco. Matheus Cunha’s brace and Vinicius Junior’s goal gave Carlo Ancelotti’s side a crucial three points heading into the final matchday.
For Haiti, however, the defeat officially ended their World Cup journey. Under the new head-to-head rules used at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, two consecutive defeats mean the Concacaf side can no longer qualify, including through the best third-placed route.
Morocco Joint Top After Beating Scotland
Elsewhere, Morocco boosted their knockout hopes by edging Scotland 1-0. The Atlas Lions now sit second in Group C with four points, level with Brazil but behind on goal difference. Scotland, meanwhile, remain in the hunt and could still qualify as one of the tournament’s best third-placed teams.
The final round of Group C fixtures promises plenty of drama. Brazil will face Scotland in a decisive encounter, while Morocco take on an already-eliminated Haiti side that now has nothing left to play for except pride.
