Italian Serie A side Bologna have strengthened their youth ranks with the signing of promising Ghanaian midfielder Kwesi Sorotu Badori from Berekum Chelsea for the remainder of the 2025/26 season.

The agreement includes an option for the Italian club to make the transfer permanent should the teenager impress during his stay in Italy.

The 18-year-old arrives after establishing himself as one of the brightest emerging talents in the Ghana Premier League.

Badori’s performances over the past two seasons have drawn widespread attention, earning him recognition for his technical ability, composure in midfield and growing influence in matches.

Bologna confirmed the transfer on their official website at the close of the winter transfer window on Monday, February 2.

Although the deal has been completed, Badori has temporarily returned to Ghana to finalise his work permit arrangements.

Once those formalities are concluded, he is expected to rejoin Bologna’s setup and begin integrating into the club’s youth development programme.

Badori’s progress has been steady and encouraging. This season, he has made 14 league appearances and scored two goals, improving on last season’s tally of one goal in 29 matches.

His consistent performances have made him a highly sought-after prospect, attracting interest from Swiss side FC Basel as well as several clubs in Denmark.

Bologna will hope Badori’s arrival strengthens their youth pipeline as they continue investing in young talent capable of developing into future first-team contributors.
