Ghana forward Inaki Williams took his son out for the first time following his birth last month during Athletic Bilbao’s La Liga game against Levante.
The Athletic Bilbao captain and his wife presented their first child, Niko, who he named after his teammate and brother Nico Williams, to the fans of the club in the 4-2 victory over Levante.
Niko was born on New Year’s Day and became the newest member of the Williams family.
“A special afternoon today at the Cathedral. Great work by the whole team, this is the way. Ready for what’s to come,” posted the striker with a the beautiful family photo on Instagram after the game.
Meanwhile, in the six-goal thriller at San Mames, Gorka Guruzeka netted a quick brace in the first half to hand Athletic Bilboa a deserving lead.
However, after the break, the visitors pulled one back through Unai Elgezabal but the Rojiblancos responded immediately as Nico Serrano netted to extend their lead.
A dramatic finish saw Levante score again through Jon Ander Olasagasti before Robert Navarro sealed the win by restoring Athletic Bilbao’s two-goal lead.
Williams has endured a tough campaign, with only four-goal contribution in 22 matches.
