Nkawkaw Salvation Army Primary School crowned 2016 Milo U13 Champions – Ghana Latest Football News, Live Scores, Results

Nkawkaw-based Salvation Army Primary School dominated Kwabenya Atomic M/A Basic School 2-0 on Saturday, 25 April to win the 2026 Milo U13 Champions League at the Essipong Stadium.

The Eastern Region champions scored late on in either half to deservingly lift the trophy and become the third representative from that region- after two-time winners Bepong Methodist Primary School- to win the competition.

It was Kwabenya Atomic M/A [KAMA] who nearly took the lead half-way inside the first stanza but a goal bound effort was acrobatically cleared off the line.

On the nick of recess, striker Prince Yeboah beat the offside trap to head home a free-kick on 20 minutes to give Salvation Army the lead.

After the break, KAMA tried to find the equalizer but Salvation Army were too strong for them.

Late on, the assurance goal was registered when Felix Peprah lobbed a through pass over the KAMA goalkeeper to all but confirm their status as the winners of the 7th edition with the second goal.

Nkawkaw Salvation Army Primary School dominated all the individual awards; Goalkeeper of the tournament when to King Agbozo and James K Tawiah the Topscorer gong after scoring 5 goals in six matches.

Midfielder Hassan Kamal, also of Nkawkaw Salvation Army Primary School, was named the tournament’s Best Player.

They never conceded a goal in regulation time in all the matches they played.

Mark Mintah Dadzie, the Headtecher of the school, made a passionate appeal to authorities to assist them produce more promising footballers.

He told ESLtv: ”I also want to communicate with the leaders on Nkawkaw that there are so many talent in the municipality. We need a field- proper field that we can we can train our kids for them to became who they really are in the future.”

Also, Denchemoasue Roman Catholic Primary School (Western North Region) won the bronze medal match after a 3-2 penalty shootout victory over Wenchi Methodist Primary School.
