Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has expressed deep disappointment following Leicester City’s demotion to League One despite his fine form during the campaign.

The Black Stars forward returned to Ghana on Sunday ahead of his unveiling as the newest ambassador for Rush Energy Drink.

Issahaku contributed 16 goals in the Championship this season but it was not enough to stop the Foxes from going down.

And the 22-year-old believes he should have done more to save the 2016 Premier League champions.

“I feel amazing,” he told reporters at the Accra International Airport. “Actually, it is not good because I am a team player. It is not feeling good with the position we are,” he added.

“I just say I feel happy with my performance but I should have done better.”

Meanwhile, his future at the King Power Stadium has become increasingly uncertain as several clubs, including Premier League sides circle around his signature ahead of the summer transfer window.

Also Turkish topflight sides Trabzonspor and Fenerbahce are reportedly showing strong interest in the ex-Sporting Lisbon forward.
