Ghanas Black Queens were held to a goalless draw by Tanzania in a friendly match on Monday as they continued their preparations for the 2026 Womens Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).The encounter in Morocco formed part of Ghanas final build-up ahead of the continental tournament, with head coach Kim Lars Bjorkogeren and his technical team using the match to assess their squad and improve team coordination.

Ghana Women National Teams (@GhanaWNT) July 20, 2026The Black Queens entered the game after securing a 1-0 victory over Ivory Coast in their first preparatory fixture.The Tanzania friendly provided another opportunity for the technical team to test different combinations, evaluate player performances and ensure the squad is ready for the demands of the tournament.Although Ghana were unable to find the back of the net, the result extended their unbeaten run during their final phase of preparation.With a win over Ivory Coast and a draw against Tanzania, the Black Queens appear to be building confidence ahead of their WAFCON campaign.Ghana will compete in Group D at the tournament alongside Cameroon, Cape Verde and Mali, facing a challenging group as they aim to make a strong impact on the African stage.The 2026 Womens Africa Cup of Nations is scheduled to take place from 25 July to 16 August, with the Black Queens hoping their final preparations will help them secure qualification to the next World Cup.
