Nicolas Jackson is simply not being considered as an option at Chelsea right now, and tonight new rumours have emerged about Napoli getting into the race to sign him.
The Senegal striker is the biggest ticket item Chelsea have up for sale right now. They want serious money for Jackson, who spent last season on loan with Bayern Munich.
There is plenty of interest in the former Villareal man, who is a good player, but nothing is reaching Chelsea’s asking price. Gianluca Di Marzio last night reported that Jackson has now been contacted by Napoli.

The problem is that Napoli simply don’t and won’t have the money to sign Jackson for the €65m we want for him. A loan can generate a decent fee and potentially boost his value if he does really well, but you’re also just punting the problem further down the line.
Hoping that Aston Villa comes in with a big late bid is surely the best course of action now. We’re all waiting to see what happens with Ollie Watkins in the weeks to come, it could have major knock on effects.
In other news…
There is a breakthrough in another first team deal – Axel Disasi is finally closing in on a loan deal to move to Crystal Palace, according to French sources.
Chelsea are also pushing Mamadou Sarr out of the door. There is talk of contact with other clubs for the defender, who is expected to leave soon.
