Brenden Aaronson signs contract extension with Leeds United

Brenden Aaronson has committed his long-term future to Leeds United.

Aaronson signed a multi-year extension with the Lilywhites, which will take him through the 2028-29 season, the English Premier League club announced Thursday. Aaronson’s deal was originally set to expire at the end of the 2026-27 campaign, but he becomes the third Leeds United player this week to extend his stay.

The 25-year-old is heading into his fourth season with Leeds United after logging four goals and five assists in 42 appearances last campaign. Since joining the West Yorkshire club in 2022, Aaronson has made 131 appearances for the Lilywhites, scoring 13 goals and adding 10 assists.

He scored twice in Daniel Farke’s squad during preseason camp this summer and will be pushing to start in the club’s Premier League opener on Saturday at Nottingham Forest.

“Everyone at Leeds United is thrilled Brenden has extended his stay with the club ahead of our opening league fixture this weekend against Nottingham Forest,” a club statement read. “We now look forward to seeing him continue to impress at Elland Road and away from home over the years to come.”

Leeds United will take on Forest in back-to-back matches across two different competitions before hosting Brentford on August 30.
