Ghana international Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has expressed his disappointment after Ipswich Town suffered a heavy defeat to Manchester United in the English Premier League.The Black Stars winger provided an assist for Ipswich but could not prevent the newly promoted side from suffering a 5-2 loss at Old Trafford.Issahaku played a key role in Ipswichs bright start, setting up Leif Davis for the opening goal in the 29th minute. Davis produced an excellent finish from inside the penalty area, volleying the ball against the underside of the crossbar and into the net.However, Manchester United responded before the break through Bruno Fernandes, who capitalised on a defensive error to level the score in the 40th minute.The hosts then completed their comeback early in the second half when Jacob Greaves inadvertently turned the ball into his own net in the 56th minute.Ipswich appealed for a possible handball in the build-up, but after a VAR review, the goal was allowed to stand.Fernandes doubled Uniteds advantage from the penalty spot in the 61st minute before completing his hat-trick seven minutes later. The Portuguese midfielder reacted quickest after Bryan Mbeumos effort was blocked, finding space inside the box before finishing confidently.Manchester United continued to punish Ipswichs defensive weaknesses and added a fifth goal in the 82nd minute. Fernandes picked out Mbeumo, who timed his run perfectly before lifting a delicate finish over goalkeeper Kjell Scherpen.Issahaku was substituted in the 83rd minute, with Kasey McAteer taking his place, while Ipswich grabbed a late consolation in stoppage time through Chuba Akpom.Despite the disappointing result, Issahaku praised the travelling supporters and described the match as an important learning experience for the team.Not the result we wanted yesterday, amazing support from the away fans.
