Dr Nyaho-Tamakloe chairs Hearts of Oak interim committee following Managing Director Julius Ben Emunah’s resignation

Dr Nyaho Nyaho-TamakloeAccra Hearts of Oak have established an Interim Management Committee (IMC) to oversee the affairs of the club following the resignation of Managing Director Julius Ben Emunah.The decision was announced by the clubs Board of Directors on Friday, September 11, as Hearts begin the process of appointing a new management team.The five-member committee will be chaired by former Ghana FA Chairman Dr Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe and will be responsible for steering the clubs affairs during the transition.Mr Samuel Wilfred Yaw Inkoom has been assigned responsibility for Finance, while Mr Akwasi Agyemang will oversee Operations.Hon Vincent Sowah Odotei has been named in charge of Administration, with National Chapters Committee (NCC) Chairman Alhaji Yusif Abdulai responsible for Mobilization.The Board said the committee has been put in place to ensure continuity while the club searches for a permanent management team.The Board of Directors wishes to assure all stakeholders that it is taking all steps necessary to ensure that the Club continues its pursuit of pre-eminence not just in the country but continentally, the statement said.The development follows Emunahs resignation as Managing Director earlier this week, bringing his seven-month tenure at the club to an end.Emunah, who was appointed on February 2, 2026, succeeded Dr Delali Anku-Adiamah and joined Hearts after serving as Head of Competitions at the Ghana Football Association.In his resignation statement, Emunah described his decision as a difficult one and thanked the clubs Board, led by Togbe Afede XIV, as well as the NCC for their support during his time in office.Despite stepping down, he stressed that he remains committed to the Phobians and would be available to support the club in any capacity.His resignation came just days after Hearts opened the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season with an impressive 4-0 victory over Berekum Chelsea.The Phobians are now preparing for their Matchday Two clash against former champions Bibiani GoldStars at Duns Park on Sunday, with the new IMC set to oversee the clubs administrative affairs during the transition.The Board has urged all stakeholders to support the committee as it works to ensure stability and continuity at the club.
