Chelsea have made their position clear on Estevao Willian’s future, insisting the Brazilian forward is not for sale regardless of interest from elsewhere in the Premier League.
Reports in Brazil suggested the 19-year-old could push for a January move away from Stamford Bridge if his lack of game time under Xabi Alonso continues. However, senior figures at the club have moved to shut down that narrative, branding him untouchable and reaffirming his place at the heart of their long-term project.
Limited Minutes Fuel Uncertainty
Estevao’s start to the 2026/27 campaign has been sluggish by his own standards. Across Chelsea’s opening Premier League fixtures, he has been restricted to fleeting cameos from the bench, with Alonso favouring Cole Palmer and Morgan Rogers in the forward positions within his preferred system. The winger did start in the Carabao Cup victory over Luton Town, but regular top-flight involvement has proven elusive.
That is a stark contrast to last term, when Estevao contributed eight goals and four assists in 36 appearances following his move from Palmeiras, quickly establishing himself as one of the squad’s most exciting young talents.
New Contract Talks on the Horizon
Rather than entertaining offers, Chelsea are reportedly preparing to discuss improved terms with Estevao’s representatives, a signal of intent that should ease any lingering unrest. Liverpool have been credited with monitoring his situation, though sources close to the club insist no deal will be sanctioned at any price.
