Iraola eyes reunion with Bournemouth defender at Liverpool

Andoni Iraola is open to a reunion with Bournemouth defender Adrien Truffert at Liverpool, though the Reds face competition from Manchester United.

Truffert has excelled since arriving at Bournemouth from Rennes in 2025 and his performances have not gone unnoticed across the Premier League.

The left-back scored once and provided five assists in the Premier League last season, starting all 38 games for the Cherries.

According to TeamTalk, Iraola is considering a move to bring Truffert to Anfield. Milos Kerkez has struggled to convince since making the same move from Bournemouth to Liverpool, with Truffert a target to provide competition for the Hungarian.

Manchester United also like Truffert, as the Red Devils look for a long-term replacement for Luke Shaw. United lack a natural alternative to Shaw at left-back and are assessing options.

Bournemouth are understood to value Truffert, who has earned three caps for France, at around £60m. That fee would represent a massive profit, having paid Rennes around £11.4m for his signature last summer.
