Liverpool Monitor Fiorentina Midfielder Cher Ndour as €35m Price Tag Emerges

Fiorentina Fear Losing Prized Asset

Fiorentina are growing uneasy about Liverpool’s reported interest in midfielder Cher Ndour, with the 22-year-old attracting attention from several major clubs. According to La Repubblica, relayed by Sport Witness, the Reds are keeping tabs on the Italy international.

Crystal Palace made a formal approach in the summer, but Fiorentina rejected it and viewed Ndour as unsellable. That stance could be tested again, with Juventus also monitoring him.

What Will Fiorentina Demand?

The Viola would reportedly consider offers only around €35m, a higher figure than when Palace came calling. Growing competition could help them drive the price up further.

A Rapid Rise in Florence

Ndour has made 63 appearances and contributed to 12 goals since arriving in January 2025. He helped Fiorentina avoid relegation last season, earned a senior Italy call-up and has two goal contributions in seven games this term. He also scored from over 70 yards for Italy Under-21s recently.

Why Liverpool Could Move

Liverpool did not directly replace Curtis Jones in the summer, trusting academy graduates for midfield depth. That could change if Alexis Mac Allister leaves, with Chelsea linked and his contract unresolved. At 22, Ndour also offers plenty of room to grow.

Our Opinion

Ndour looks a sensible long-term target rather than an immediate fix. Even so, €35m is a significant outlay for someone with limited top-level experience, and a Juventus bidding war would push it higher. Still, if Mac Allister goes, a young, athletic midfielder with this upside is appealing.
