All eyes will be on the UEFA Europa League this week with two of the U.S. Men’s National Team’s key leaders squaring off.
Tyler Adams and AFC Bournemouth welcome Christian Pulisic and AC Milan to the Vitality Stadium in a highly-anticipated UEL contest. Adams is coming off a productive week for the Cherries, starting in recent wins over Sturm Graz and Sunderland in two separate competitions.
The veteran midfielder continues to be a key player under Marco Rose as Bournemouth is starting to pick up momentum this fall. Adams will have a tough task though, trying to shut down Pulisic and the Rossoneri’s countless attacking players.
Pulisic most recently started in the Rossoneri’s 3-2 Serie A win over Atalanta on Sunday, delivering a positive shift in Ruben Amorim’s lineup. Despite having a first-half goal waived off, Pulisic showed strong signs and will be amongst the candidates to score on the South Coast this week.
A road win for the Rossoneri will level them on six points with the Cherries but anything less will see Bournemouth stay in front of them in the Europa League standings.
Elsewhere in Europe, Alex Freeman and Villarreal visit Liverpool in Champions League play while Johnny Cardoso and Atletico Madrid travel to Stuttgart. Bryan Reynolds and Weston McKennie face off in Europa League action. Auston Trusty and Celtic welcome Celta Vigo to town. Chris Richards and Crystal Palace seek a bounce-back result against Besiktas.
