Bayern Munich travel to Mainz on Saturday for their final Bundesliga match before the international break, hoping to keep their unbeaten season going.
The Bavarians remain unbeaten in every competition so far this term and lead the Bundesliga table on goal difference, having collected 18 points through five victories and three draws. Last weekend, they were denied a win against Borussia Dortmund when a late goal made it 2-2, but they responded in midweek with a solid 2-0 Champions League win away to Atlético Madrid despite missing several players.
Bayern Munich team news
Bayern arrive at the MEWA Arena with assistant coach Aaron Danks in charge, as head coach Vincent Kompany is still recovering from an illness.

There is more positive news at the back, where Manuel Neuer has recovered from a foot concern and is available to start.
Aleksandar Pavlović has returned to training after a calf strain, though he must pass a late fitness check. Alphonso Davies may be left out or given only limited playing time as Bayern manage his workload.
