Chelsea finally have a front of shirt sponsor – and it could be one that sticks around for multiple years, if things go well.

Chelsea’s struggle to find a long term front of shirt sponsor is well recorded, and is one of the most embarrassing failures of this current ownership so far.
After years of failure on that front, we’ve got low expectations. We came into this season without one, and we half expected another campaign to to pass without finding one, until the deal with USDC was announced last month.
We don’t love it – the logo is a little tacky, and doesn’t look good on an otherwise really clean shirt. It was also put forward just as a deal until the end of the season. But according to the company’s chief commercial officer, the intent is to make it a longer term deal.
USDC weigh up long term Chelsea offer

“This is something we hadn’t done before and we wanted to ease into it in a way that allowed us to understand what success looks like,” Kash Razzaggi said in an interview with BBC Sport.
“But the intention absolutely is for it to be long term.”
They would have to offer Chelsea an incredible amount of money to persuade them – that’s why previous short term deals with DAMAC and Infinite Athlete haven’t ended up leading to anything long term.
