Christian Pulisic is back on the field for AC Milan, five days before the club’s Serie A opener.
Pulisic returning to Rossoneri training on Tuesday after missing most of the club’s preseason camp due to injury rehabilitation. The 27-year-old Pulisic had been sidelined since he suffered a bone bruise and microfracture in his right tibia and fibula during the FIFA World Cup earlier this summer.
Pulisic suffered the injury during the U.S. Men’s National Team’s 4-1 Round of 16 loss to Belgium, being substituted off in the second half. He registered one assist in four World Cup appearances in Mauricio Pochettino’s squad.
Ruben Amorim has stepped in as AC Milan’s new manager, giving Pulisic a new figure to impress.
Pulisic delivered a strong first half of the season during the last campaign, scoring 10 goals in all competitions. However, he failed to find the back of the net over the final five months as the Rossoneri missed out on UEFA Champions League qualification.
Amorim could call on Pulisic on Sunday when AC Milan faces Torino in its Serie A opener.
