Liverpool Plot Move for Midtjylland Star Dario Osorio

Liverpool have entered the race to sign highly-rated Chilean winger Dario Osorio from Danish champions FC Midtjylland, according to Danish outlet Campo, as the Reds look to strengthen their attacking options this summer.

A Rising Star From Midtjylland’s Academy

Midtjylland have built a reputation over the past decade for developing top talent, with graduates like Simon Kjær, Joachim Andersen and Alexander Sørloth all progressing to bigger stages. Osorio, who joined from Chilean club Universidad de Chile in summer 2023, is the latest name following that path. The 22-year-old has racked up 117 appearances, 23 goals and 18 assists, while playing a key role in Midtjylland’s Danish Superliga title in 2023-24 and their Danish Cup triumph this season, starting the final win over Copenhagen.

Premier League and European Interest Grows

With 22 caps for Chile since his 2022 debut, Osorio’s consistent form has attracted attention beyond Merseyside. Campo reports that Everton, Leeds United, AC Milan and Arsenal are also monitoring the winger, setting up a fierce transfer battle. Midtjylland are reportedly hopeful the competition will push his valuation beyond the current 150 million kroner (£17m) asking price.

Standout Numbers Backing the Hype

Osorio’s underlying numbers explain the growing interest. In the 2025-26 Superliga campaign, he averaged 3.41 attempts and 1.28 shots on target per game, ranking in the league’s top one per cent among wide attackers. He has also contributed six goals and six assists domestically, with 18 goal involvements across all competitions. Manager Mike Tullberg labelled him “incredible” after a 4-0 win over Silkeborg in February.

Versatility Adds to His Appeal

Comfortable operating from either flank without losing pace or technical sharpness, Osorio’s positional flexibility fits the rotational, multi-functional attacking systems increasingly favoured across the Premier League.
