FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. Methodist University head women’s soccer coach Bryan Madej announced the Monarchs’ 2026 schedule on Monday. The slate features seven non-conference matches, including contests against two nationally ranked opponents, along with a nine-match USA South Athletic Conference schedule.
The 2026 campaign opens on Tuesday, Sept. 1, with a challenging road contest at nationally ranked No. 25 Christopher Newport University at 5 PM. Methodist then returns home for a pair of matches, beginning with a 3 PM matchup against NCAA Division II Shaw University on Sunday, Sept. 6. The Monarchs close out the homestand with a 7 PM midweek contest against Guilford College on Wednesday, Sept. 9.
Methodist heads to Virginia the following weekend for another pair of matches. The Monarchs face their second nationally ranked opponent, No. 12 University of Mary Washington, on Saturday, Sept. 12, at noon, before traveling to Eastern Mennonite University for a 1 PM contest on Sunday, Sept. 13.
The Monarchs return to Duggins Soccer Stadium for three consecutive matches, including two to begin USA South play. Methodist hosts Averett University on Wednesday, Sept. 16, at 7 PM, before welcoming Southern Virginia University on Saturday, Sept. 19, for a noon conference matchup. The homestand concludes with a 7 PM non-conference contest against Meredith College on Wednesday, Sept. 23.
During the weekend of Sept. 26-27, Methodist travels to western North Carolina for a pair of matches. The Monarchs face defending USA South champion Brevard College at noon on Saturday, Sept. 26, before taking on Johnson & Wales University – Charlotte at 1 PM on Sunday, Sept. 27, in their final non-conference match of the regular season.
Conference play resumes on Saturday, Oct. 3, when Methodist hosts Greensboro College at 5 PM. The Monarchs then travel to Pfeiffer University for a 6 PM conference contest on Tuesday, Oct. 6.
The final four matches of the regular season alternate between home and road contests. Methodist begins the stretch at home against Mary Baldwin University on Saturday, Oct. 10, at 1 PM, before traveling to William Peace University for a 6 PM matchup on Friday, Oct. 16.
The Monarchs close the home portion of their regular-season schedule on Saturday, Oct. 24, hosting North Carolina Wesleyan University at 2 PM. Methodist then wraps up the regular season on Wednesday, Oct. 28, with a 7 PM road contest at Salem College.
The 2026 USA South Women’s Soccer Tournament will begin with the First Round on Saturday, Oct. 31, followed by the semifinals on Wednesday, Nov. 4, and the finals on Saturday, Nov. 7.
