New Ghana goalkeepers trainer, Dan Gaspar, has expressed excitement after being named on the Black Stars’ technical team ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Gaspar reunites with new coach Carlos Queiroz as the latest member of the technical team. The American and Queiroz have been working together at various national teams, including Iran and Portugal.
The Hartford Athletic’s goalkeeper’s trainer will be making his fourth appearance at the World Cup following his new role.
“Representing Ghana on the world stage in my home country is an incredible honour. I’m grateful for the opportunity and excited to get to work with such a talented group of players and staff. Competing at the World Cup again is a dream come true. I’m fully committed to helping the team prepare, perform, and make our supporters proud,” said Gaspar.
“Special thank you to Hartford Athletic’s Brendan Burke and the rest of the coaching staff as well as the management team to allow me to this incredible opportunity. I will represent Hartford Athletic with pride and honor,” he added.
Ghana will begin their tournament with a game against Panama on June 17 in Toronto.
