Tottenham offered chance to sign Monaco’s Balogun

Tottenham Hotspur have been offered the chance to sign Monaco striker Folarin Balogun as Roberto De Zerbi continues his search for attacking reinforcements.

According to The Sun, the United States international has been proposed to Spurs through intermediaries, with uncertainty surrounding his long-term future at the Ligue 1 club.

The report claims Balogun’s representatives have approached Tottenham directly, with the 25-year-old emerging as a potential option to provide competition for Dominic Solanke.

Balogun joined Monaco from Arsenal in 2023 after spending 15 years with the north London club, progressing through the academy before making a handful of first-team appearances.

His future in France is reportedly uncertain, and Tottenham are understood to view his availability as an opportunity to strengthen their forward line if a deal can be reached on favourable terms.

The striker impressed for the United States at this summer’s World Cup, scoring three goals in his opening two appearances before helping his side reach the knockout stages.

While no formal negotiations between Tottenham and Monaco have been reported, the player’s availability is said to have made him a serious option as Spurs continue to assess the market for a centre-forward.

De Zerbi is keen to add greater depth in attack before the transfer window closes, with Balogun among a number of forwards linked with a move to north London.
