London City Lionesses have recalled winger Paula Partido from her loan spell with Spanish club DUX Logroño ahead of schedule.
WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official media update from London City Lionesses yesterday.
The 20-year-old midfielder was set to spend the entire season playing her football in Liga F Moeve, however, she has been recalled by London City Lionesses.
Partido made a contribution to Logroño’s first season back in Liga F Moeve. She leaves Spain with the club occupying 14th position in the league table.
Returning to London City Lionesses, Partido said “I’m really happy to be here, I can’t wait to get started and I want to play every minute the Head Coach gives me.
“The loan was important for me; it definitely gave me confidence in myself as a player.”
Partido joined London City Lionesses from Spanish giants Real Madrid last summer. The Spanish youth international moved to England with huge potential and is very much an investment for the future for London City Lionesses.
The next step in Partido’s development is uncertain, however, London City Lionesses have indicated that the player could be part of the playing squad for the remainder of the season.
