Inter Milan welcome Como to San Siro on Sunday evening for their next Serie A fixture, with Cristian Chivu’s side aiming to move up the standings.
Going into Matchday 11, Inter sit near the top of Serie A with 25 points from ten matches, having recorded eight wins, one draw and one defeat. The Nerazzurri have claimed five victories from their past six games in all competitions, recovering from a 3-1 derby loss to AC Milan by beating Feyenoord 3-0 in the Champions League.
At home in the league, Inter have been perfect, winning all five fixtures at San Siro and netting 17 goals in those matches.
Inter Milan team news
Inter will be without captain and key forward Lautaro Martínez, who is still recovering from a hamstring/thigh problem and is not expected back until after the international break. Luis Henrique is also ruled out because of a thigh/adductor injury.
There is good news at the back, though, as Alessandro Bastoni is available again after missing Tuesday’s 3-0 Champions League win over Feyenoord due to a UEFA suspension. Benjamin Pavard, John Stones and Curtis Jones have all resumed full training and are likely to make the bench.
Marcus Thuram and Francesco Pio Esposito are expected to lead the attack together. Chivu also has choices to make out wide and in midfield: Djed Spence and Andy Diouf are competing for the right wing-back role, Federico Dimarco and Carlos Augusto are options on the left, while Piotr Zieliński appears ahead of Petar Sučić.
