Ghana defender Abdul Mumin Sulemana finally marked his Girona debut after coming off the bench to help his new club to victory at Sporting Gijon.The Black Stars centre-back, who joined Girona from Rayo Vallecano in the summer transfer window, replaced David Lopes with 12 minutes remaining at the El Milonon.Two minutes before coming on, Carles Perez had doubled the advantage for the visitors to add to an early strike from Yaser Asprilla.Abdul Mumin is expected to fight for his place in the first team after arriving a few weeks ago.Meanwhile, despite enjoying few minutes of the match, the Right to Dream Academy graduate showed glimpses of quality and experience.The defender will be hoping to help Girona make a quick return to La Liga as the season grows.
